Learn More about becoming a Guardian Family!

What is a guardian?

At Joyfully Golden we believe in quality of our dogs. We also believe that a dog is more than a pet, they are part of our family. We value that all the dogs we bring into this world live in the house full of life and full of joy with their people.

This belief is not just for our puppies but for our adults who make the puppies possible. We wanted to expand our program however we wanted to make sure that every dog we had not only was healthy but had their own family.

In order to do that we have implemented the Guardian Program. The Guardian program allows for you to have a “pick of the litter puppy”, or adolescent/adult breeding dog for free. This puppy or dog is part of your family forever, while the breeding rights/ownership are retained by Joyfully Golden for a short-term amount of time. Once this dog has completed his/her breeding career (3-4 litters for female), he/she will be spayed or neutered at our expense.

This dog will always remain a forever member of your family and at the end of our short-term contract will become your full pet!

The dog will live full time with you and only come back to us for breeding and whelping/weaning.

Guardian Males will be used at most 1-2 times per month.

Family must live within a reasonable distance to Portland Metro area.

Please Feel Free to email for more details
